Tips for Taking Photos at a Childrens’ Party

Need great party tips?  Consider these tips for taking photos at your kids’ event.

    1. If you are the one hosting a children’s party or event, consider having someone else available to take photos.  That way, you won’t spread yourself too this.  This applies to any event – a child’s birthday party, a school event, daycare, etc.
    2. When taking group photos at any type of children’s event or party, tell the kids you’re going to count to three and take one “serious” pose.  Then tell them to be as goofy as they want, count to three, and PRESTO!  You’ll have two great photos worth saving.  Also, if there are activities going on at your kids’ event or birthday party, make sure you get lots of photographs!  Photograph them while they’re dancing, singing, or playing games.
    3. Get a variety of photos from different angles.  Climb on a chair and shoot the picture downward.  Or lie on the ground and have the children looking down on you.  That would be a great picture!
    4. Don’t forget a flash if you need it!
    5. IMPORTANT!  Make sure you take a picture of the party/event area before the activities begin.  That way, you can see what you’ve created while it’s still in one piece!
